Victor Sigoura
Mr. Sigoura is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Legion Investment Group. He has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, having acquired and developed over $6 billion in residential and mixed-use properties in the United States and Asia to date.
Prior to founding Legion, Mr. Sigoura co-founded and held senior leadership positions within several prominent New York-based real estate organizations, where he successfully directed the acquisition and development of over 4 million square feet of ground-up luxury residential condominiums, as well as the conversion of several large-scale landmark buildings to luxury condominiums, most notably the redevelopment of the iconic Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. In addition, Mr. Sigoura has developed and acquired over 250 multi-family rental units in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Mr. Sigoura is a graduate of the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, where he served on the Cardozo Law Review as Supervising Editor, after which he practiced as an attorney in the real estate group at the prestigious New York City law firm of Greenberg Traurig.
Sean Zalka
Development & Marketing
Mr. Zalka is the Executive Vice President of Development and Marketing at Legion Investment Group, where he is responsible for leading the development and marketing for all of the firm’s projects, as well as sourcing new acquisition opportunities for the firm. A native New Yorker, Mr. Zalka is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in the development and marketing of luxury residential real estate in New York City.
Mr. Zalka was previously a principal at Matrix Development, where he developed the highly successful project 7 Harrison Street in Tribeca, the conversion of an historic warehouse to luxury condominiums designed by AD100 architect Steven Harris. More recently, Mr. Zalka was Director of Development at Cape Advisors, where he was responsible for overseeing the development of 110 Charlton Street, a 280,000 square foot, 170-unit ground-up luxury condominium in West Soho.
Mr. Zalka has a B.A. in english literature from Vassar College and an M.S. in real estate finance from New York University.
Dory Telem Goudsmit, PhD
Construction
Mr. Telem Goudsmit is the Executive Vice President of Construction at Legion Investment Group, where he is responsible for leading the construction and project execution activities for all the firm’s developments. Mr. Telem Goudsmit is a senior executive with over 20 years of military, academic, and industry leadership experience, successfully leading complex, large-scale, fast-track construction development projects and operations in both the US and Europe.
Prior to joining Legion, Mr. Telem Goudsmit was the Vice President of Construction at the Naftali Group, where he oversaw the construction for several of the firm’s luxury condominium projects in Manhattan. Projects included the condominium conversion of the landmark Shephard House, a 150,000 square-foot luxury gut-rehabilitation in the West Village of Manhattan, and the ground-up construction of 234 east 23rd street, a 20-story luxury condominium tower construction project in the Gramercy area of Manhattan.
Mr. Telem Goudsmit was also previously the Executive Vice President of Construction of Plaza Centers, Co. in Europe, where he managed the construction of over 3 million square feet. His projects included the award-winning Torun Plaza, a 760,000 square foot high-end shopping and entertainment center in Poland, the luxurious Plzen Plaza, a 420,000 square foot shopping and entertainment center in Plzen, Czech Republic and Sosnowiec Plaza, a 330,000 square foot shopping and entertainment center in the south of Poland.
Mr. Telem Goudsmit has a PhD in construction management from the Technion in Haifa, Israel.
Mert Aktas
Acquisitions & Development
Mert Aktas joined Legion Investment Group in 2017, where he is responsible for identifying, sourcing and analyzing new investment and development opportunities. In addition, Mr. Aktas also oversees asset management activities for Legion’s existing investments.
Prior to joining Legion, Mr. Aktas served as an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he engaged in various auditing and consulting projects in real estate and technology.
Mr. Aktas holds M.S. degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and he received his B.A. in Economics from Koc University, Istanbul.
Deborah Basica
Ms. Basica joined Legion Investment Group in June of 2021, where she is responsible for supporting the Legion TEAM through the refinement of our financial project tracking and reporting to further increase the profitability of our portfolio.
Prior to joining Legion, Ms. Basica worked in diverse industries from architectural film to commercial construction to improve process and financial performance.
Ms. Basica holds a B.S. in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago with numerous professional certifications.
